It's been awhile....

Sorry my dear dedicated blog followers... I keep saying I am going to take some time to post and then I never seem to lately! So I don't even know where I am going with this post but Paige said she missed my blog and that was motivation enough to try and think of something to say.

All I can say is, boy I have been busy! I always considered myself busy between teaching, Master's classes and my usual day to day stuff, but now that I have a significant other we have 2 schedules to juggle. Work has been great, I absolutely love my Kindergartners. They are 16 of the sweetest, most lovable human beings on the planet. They make me laugh every single day and I hear more I love yous and get more hugs than the average person will experience in a lifetime. I can't believe we are preparing for graduation already. I couldn't have asked for a better group of kids and I was truly blessed with my current grade level partner. She has had my back all year long and we truly work wonderfully together. I know I am going to be a wreck when my "babies" journey on to 1st grade but I will truly never forget this school year. Not to mention that I got to see Tom's 2 twin cousins who are in the other K class every day. They are so sweet and they are who made me feel so connected to Tom so quickly, right on our first date! I love their part in "our story" and I am so excited that they will be our flowergirls in our wedding next year.

I have also been tutoring like crazy! I can't beat the money and that is a priority right now with the upcoming wedding. I tutor kids after school at my school everyday Monday to Friday, then tutor a few kids privately at the library. I am hoping to hold on to some of these kids and add a few more for the summer. I like trying to help these kids who are really struggling to succeed and feel proud of themselves. The tutoring really has been a win-win situation for everyone.

And last but not least, I can't end this post without professing a little love for my Tom. I can't believe we have been engaged for almost 5 months. Everyday puts us one day closer to the wedding which we both can't wait for. Right now we are at 582 days away! Yes I am counting, hahah, and yes we both have countdown calendars on our walls. This two year engagment is not easy for two people who fell so hard in love so fast, but we know it will be worth the wait. We registered at Bed Bath & Beyond if anyone wants to check out the cool stuff we want. I will admit that we bought some of it ourselves already because we feared some of our favorites disappearing before next year. We also visited an apartment complex in Holtsville called Victorian Gardens which I am near positive will be our future dwelling. I really want us to start visiting some vendors this summer so we can begin booking some things. All in all, I can truly say that we are so happy together and we love dreaming about our future. Times are not always easy with the day to day stresses of jobs, money, families, etc but we really do handle the rough times well. I can honestly say we have never fought, even on our worst days. We are just two people who are truly thankful for one another and make the most of everyday we have together.
