Today my dad came with me to my classroom and we both worked so hard! I can't believe it but we were there from 10am to 6:30pm. What took the longest was putting up the backing paper and borders for all the corkboards. But in the end, I couldn't be happier for how it’s coming along. Everything looks so bright, colorful, and organized. My dad was so helpful, and I couldn't have gotten nearly as much done without his help. We probably got on each other's nerves occasionally because we can both be perfectionists sometimes, but overall we really had a great time. We laughed a lot and I could tell he was really proud to be standing in his daughter's classroom. He got to meet my principal who stopped by a few times to be friendly and admire the room. Before we left for the day, he gave me an antique elephant coat hook to hang my teacher sweaters on, and he gave me a really thoughtful card that I am going to keep in my teacher desk. Overall, I can't wait to start creating memories with my 18 students in my beautiful classroom!

I love the elephant sweater hook. It adds a personal touch. Just no seasonal sweaters!
